As you can see, reading someones eyes is far more complicated than ‘if they look up and right it’s a lie’.
Constructed means made up instead of from memory. Looking straight forward also indicates the person is visually constructing. Looking in two directions at the same time suggests the person might not be suitable for reading eye signals.
Do your best to remember it and try it out next time you talk to a person face to face, see how accurate you can become.
I picked this up from ‘Trick of the Mind’ by author and entertainer Derren Brown, who uses his vast knowledge of body language and psychology to trick and shock people on a daily basis. This is the same man that played Russian roulette, converted atheist in seconds and explained the fraud behind mediums.
The book passes on some of the knowledge he has gained, and the techniques he uses to achieve his results, but rather than a self teaching guide, it’s an overall look at what he does and why.
