Shark breeds Asexually

A certain type of shark, namely the Bonnethead has been proved to produce offspring asexually. A birth at Henry Doorly Zoo in Nebraska back in 2001 first suggested this to be possible as no males were ever present.

Unfortunately this is ability is unlikely to increase dwindling shark numbers as it reduces the introduction of beneficial traits that are passed down from normal sex.
