Here are some great things a new blogger should look at when trying to improve their websites Page Ranking.
Back links
I use several sites to publish my blog posts as well as offer an RSS feed (Which you can subscribe too here ). I’ve not been overly picky about the sites that I swap links with, if they’re a PR 0 or a PR 10 it doesn’t matter to me, a link back is only a benefit, and as those sites grow so will the value of those links
Consistent Updates
I’ve managed to keep up my posting frequency to at least one major post a day. The frequency of your posts is more important than the amount you post when it comes to visitors. Posting three on Monday and none for the rest of the week is going to turn potential readers away.
I am experimenting with search engine optimization on my blog, some have had negative effects and some positive. I’ll expand on this topic in another post
Promotion
Promotion of your blog is a post in itself but I’ll give you the gist here; all publicity is good publicity. That doesn’t mean you should go out purposely upsetting people to start a flame war but don’t be afraid to get your link everywhere you can. A link on a PR 0 is still a link and will not negatively affect you.
These are the main things I’ve been working on outside of posting that have raised my page ranking and I can only hope it’ll continue to work!
