A discussion over at 9mb.com brought up the idea of charging to sponsor a blog post. The idea being you as the blog owner charge another company or blog a small amount for a permanent link at the bottom of a post. I have been running a free swap scheme already whereby I will link to another site at the end of my post if they’re willing to do the same, it’s a great way to generate a great deal of back links for free. The problem is no one will pay for a link if they can get in for free, and quite right too. The solution? Only link to blogs for free and charge for all other sites.

I don’t expect to make a great deal of revenue with this method but would like to try it as an experiment, so if you’d like a link to your website in a blog post, let me know, it’s only $2!
