Setting aside a certain amount of time to exploring a new source of traffic for your blog is an excellent way to maximise its potential. I know it sounds obvious but how often do you sit down at your PC purely to study and explore one service for a few hours?
I recently found MyBlogLog and it’s obvious I’ve been out of the loop for a while which is unacceptable to me. I feel I need to know everything to get the best out of it so I spent an hour reading up on the service and checking out it’s features. I learned for example, that it helps create a community around your blog where other members who have become readers can comment and let there presence be known.
I installed the widget at the side of my page ( see it down there? ) which shows other members that have viewed my site. Granted you have to be a member of Mybloglog to appear but it’s nice to put a face to a name if possible(as appose to the other way round). I know, I know, my icon isn’t a photo but I just can’t get around to taking one, what with my camera being out of commission. Hopefully I can change that soon and you’ll get to know me a bit better.
Okay so the site design they’ve gone with is awful but it’s a cool little service. I’ve signed up to the Shoemoney and John Chow communities so far, ( hope to speak to some of you guys soon! ).
If you want to be my friend on there, sign up to my community!
