Movable Type 4 Versus WordPress

I’m currently involved in creating a music feeds site and a major part of that is blogs. I’ve used Wordpress a lot recently and gotten very use to it, but for this project it wasn’t going to work. Fortunately SixApart have recently released an Open Source copy of Movable Type. As I’ve recently installed it […]

“Deep linking, on the World Wide Web, is making a hyperlink that points to a specific page or image on another website, instead of that website’s main or home page. Such links are called deep links.”
This is what Wikipedia has to say on the subject of deep linking, but how can a blogger use it […]

David Peralty over at Blogging Pro has posted about the effects of the increasingly weak American Dollar for Bloggers and conversion rates for those of us outside the US. Being in the UK I know his and others pain all to well.
At the time of writing $1 is equal to roughly £0.5 so if you […]

I’m going to
attempt to write this
without sounding like a
’life coach’
or self help tutor but
forgive me if it comes
across that way. In life the
best way to get something

“One day I’ll be a
millionaire” or “I hope to be
a millionaire before
I’m 30″ these

it. As much as you want to
buy that 10 bedroom
house, it won’t
happen unless you make it
happen. It’s
important to be in a
positive frame of mind
when setting goals

WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) […]

I’ve added a page containing links to all the Social Bookmarking sites I could find (56). You can see it at the top of the page or here. They’re ranked in order of PR to make it easier to decide which to focus your time on. Here’s two of the benefits of submitting your posts to […]

WordPress and Permalinks

WordPress lets you change the way your pages appear in the address bar in many different ways using mod_rewrite. Using the preset tags you can get all sorts of combinations, turning ugly URL’s like http://example.com/?p=N into search engine (and user) friendly ones such as: http://example.com/year/month/day/post-name

(note: you can find this feature from Admin CP >> […]
